ABOUT US

Golden Pita Lebanese Restaurant is a family-owned small business located in Burnaby, BC. Our family moved to Canada in 1991, leaving our home country of Lebanon behind, but bringing our culture and ways of life with us. In 1996, we decided to share our culture and cuisine with the people of Greater Vancouver by opening up the Golden Pita Lebanese Restaurant.

Our family has served homemade Lebanese food for 15 years and we plan on continuing this service for decades to come. In order to reach out to more people, we built this website to make it easier for you to learn about us.

OUR FAMILY

The Touffaha family is the proud founder of Golden Pita Lebanese Restaurant. All six members of the family: mother, father, and four siblings, have contributed to this passing of culture from one end of the world, to the other. Our mother, or as we call her "Mama", is an excellent cook with a great touch and sense of quality for Lebanese cuisine. Our father is the man that holds it all together, with a genuine personality that keeps people interested. The siblings have all done their part, helping out whenever possible.

Our history as a family is one of pleasure, pain, and good luck. We were citizens of Lebanon during the 60's, 70,'s and 80's. Amidst civil unrest, our family grew closer together and depended simply on each other. In the 1990's, we found ourselves in the peaceful land of British Columbia. We settled in the City of Burnaby in 1991, and we still live, work, and play here in 2011.

OUR CUSTOMERS

Our customers are truly unique people, open to experiencing new cultures through exciting cuisines. Over 75% of our customer-base is repeat customers, and we wish to thank them for their continuous support. They come in all ages and various backgrounds; and they sometimes even come in large groups. Our customers have repeatedly expressed their love of our food, and we welcome them back day after day.

At Golden Pita Lebanese Restaurant, our customers are served with grace, respect, and pita bread, of course. This is how the Lebanese eat, but we surely don't expect everyone to eat the same way. However, many of our customers have caught on to the Lebanese culture, and left their utensils behind.

OUR PRODUCTS

Our products are tasty creations that come straight from the heart. We use only the best of ingredients and we take the time and energy to process them appropriately. This means chopping the parsley for our Tabbouleh Salad by hand, and putting our chickpeas through an intense soaking process to bring out their nutritional qualities.

Our products provide you with a Mediterranean experience, an opportunity to eat healthy and dazzle your taste buds.
